Anita recently helped us with the long and arduous task of renovating our 200 year old cape cod styled home. She helped us with cabinetry for the kitchen and dining room as well as two bathrooms. We had lived in this home for over a decade and had some very specific ideas about what we wanted but no idea how to do it.

If you are into the "BAIT AND SWITCH" game, this is the company you should do business with. Cabinets have fair pricing. However, the games begin when you "HAVE TO USE HER VENDORS". Her Counter top vendor out of Methuen, is priced at more than $2000.00 above all other counter top vendors in the area. We were told our installation would be around $1600.00 including tear out.

We tore our own cabinets out and were charged the same. Our kitchen took close to a year to be complete. We actually purchased two kitchens from this company at the same time, two different properties. Both had multiple delays because the project coordinating lacked immensely. Below are just some of our issues ~when mistakes were pointed out the owner pointed fingers at everyone except herself ~unprofessional gossiping of other clients ~absolutely NO general contracting being exercised, as was stated during the initial purchasing of the cabinets ~counter tops being cut too narrow, being asked if we could live with it (she blamed the counter top vendor, they blamed her and stated she never sends them good or correct plans, and in the end, after she received her last payment from us, she verbally blamed it on me to another client, because I was not there to catch her mistake. ~ HUGE lack of communication!

Numerous calls and texts were never returned. Had to constantly track her down for answers and scheduling. ~Measurements were wrong.we were told."don't worry, we will make it work" ~Some of our cabinets were delivered wrong, when brought to her attention, we were told we changed that. Which we did not. ~We have no complaint with her cabinet installer, he was quite adept at making up for her design shortcomings. ~she was NEVER present on our jobs, during the entire installation of either property or after.

We were told she would be overlooking the project. ~we had to wait 4 months for our crown molding (which she forgot to order at the beginning of the job) to be ordered and delivered. We also had to wait an excessive amount of time for the second properties trim to be ordered, which delayed us again.

We found The Cabinet Works through our general contractor. We had already had one estimate from another local kitchen center, but their pricing was much higher than we anticipated. When we explained to Anita that we were not looking to put a BMW engine into a VW (our house is a modest Cape), she helped us find the perfect balance between quality and price.

She also made some really sound recommendations in terms of the kitchen layout, which is now in its final phases of completion. The cabinets and countertops (quartz) arrived on time, and Anita personally took inventory to ensure that nothing was missing or damaged. The company that she contracted with to do the countertops was top notch -- everyone we dealt with was professional and prompt and it was obvious that they took great pride in their work.

We couldn't be happier with our experience, and would recommend The Cabinet Works to anyone on the New Hampshire Seacoast - especially if you are committed to shopping local as we are.
