Our countertop looks great! Charlie, and Juan did a great job and they're very easy and relaxed to be around while performing their job. Thanks folks!

Through Lowes and manufactured by Cardinal Kitchens we purchased a long formica countertop made of the finest formica product available and a white marble with black veins look. The formica was beautiful. However, because the countertop was over a certain length, it had to have an added section to complete the run. We also ordered a matching large island top. of the same material at the time.

The long top came to us with the added section so far off grain that we now have to cover the added piece with our microwave. I contacted Formica and they said the top could have been matched by using another sheet of the same pattern and finding the section that would have matched. I called Lowes and Cardinal Kitchens to remedy the situation however the President and owner of Cardinal Kitchens was very arrogant and unapologetic and refused to rectify the problem.

He said that they do not match patterns that way! Imagine that for a 2400 dollar top! Lowes did give us a rather small rebate on the cost but we would rather have had the problem solved. I will never purchase a top from Lowes again nor refer anyone to Cardinal Kitchens.

Worst experience I've ever received. Hand selected the slab of granite and sent it to them for fabrication. Upon installation, I noticed the granite wasn't what I selected. Cardinal Kitchens broke the initial slab and without notifying me, they substituted an alternate slab. Additionally, the granite they attempted to install was broken and therefore sent back.

I selected another slab and upon installation, the driver drove off the driveway and broke my irrigation system, dinged the door when entering the room, skufed the wall and broke the the wood joint of the cabinets. It's been a year and still have yet to address the issues. Definitely worth avoiding and seeking an alternate fabricator.

I ordered countertops around the end of June with an initial expected delivery date of July 30th. I was called on July 29th and told that my countertops were on backorder (which is regretable, but understandable given the nature of quartz). The delivery date was then moved to August 13. August 13 came and went without any delivery or call of delay.

I called Cardinal Kitchens around 3 on the day of delivery easily 6 times and left a message to ask where the delivery was, and received no reply until the 14th to ask for a reschedule. The representative on the phone claimed that the delivery crew called me several times with no answer, which is untrue because of how easily they were able to get ahold of me on the 14th.

Even Lowes (which I placed the order through) had trouble contacting them. To all people considering ordering from this company either directly or through Lowes - don't. Find another company to order from. The customer service is horrendous to say the least.

I've read through all the other reviews and was dreading the experience that i thought was inevitable. I ordered quartz counters through my home depot and had Cardinal Kitchens as the installer. I never had any issues getting in touch with the folks in Louisville, if I had to leave a voicemail I always got a call back later that same day or the next if it was appropriate.

We scheduled the install about 2 weeks prior and they never changed it. The installers were a few minutes late but considering the drive and not being the first install it was understandable. Do I wish they could complete fabrication and installation in less than the 5 weeks it took? Sure, but it doesn't sound out of the ordinary for that type of project.

The only downside I had was I had asked for the remnants from the slab they used (considering I had paid for the whole slab) but they wouldn't bring them unless I paid an additional charge (which seems to me like paying twice) but other than that I had a pretty trouble free experience.

Ordered a 4ft x 4ft countertop over 10 weeks ago. Every attempt to call Cardinal will lead you to someone's mailbox. I've left messages in several mailboxes with not one (zero, zip, nada) return phone call. Home Depot uses them and my Home Depot connection calls and says, "Cardinal won't return my calls." Completion date for this project was supposed to be, at the latest, 6/20/16. Today is 8/2/16. I still have no idea where the countertop is and when it will be installed. When I purchased 10 weeks ago I paid in full. BEWARE!

Wow. I have never had such a terrible experience with any contractor. We ordered our counter (plus entire kitchen) through Home Depot. Once we were ready for the countertop, we called Home Depot and she supposedly called Cardinal. A WEEK later, they call us to schedule. They can't come out on a weekend, of course, because you know we're only giving them $6,000, so why would they do that? Well, it takes a week for the guy to measure.

When we finally get our counter done and they come to install it, it's now six weeks out from ordering. Not too happy about that to begin with. When the guys show up, one is working, the other is worthless. The one working was very pleasant to speak with, but he cut my counter wrong and had to PATCH it up, unless I wanted to go through the nightmare of AGAIN waiting six weeks to get my counter done right.

I said, screw it, it's in a place no one will notice it anyway. But THAT'S what I paid $6,000 for?! A person who can't read a tape measure!? Not only this, but it gets better.the guy who is with him who is his "helper" who did nothing the whole time decides he is getting sick in my bathroom so he RIFFLES THROUGH MY CABINETS AND STEALS MY TUMS.

My husband didn't notice this, and I was in my office at the time working. I walked out, realized he had a TUMS bottle in his hand and so I figured my husband gave them to him. Husband thought he had brought them. Nope.they were ours. HE STOLE THEM AND LEFT WITH THEM! On top of this, the guy left his cigarette butts, empty bottled water and gum wrappers everywhere in my driveway, leaving us to clean up his disgusting mess!

The epoxy they use to glue your countertop down is WRETCHED and we had to put up with the godawful smell (probably cancer causing) for 5 hours! Then guy who installs decides to drop it all over my new cabinets (and in my trash can, which was awful, again!) HOW CAN HOME DEPOT USE THESE PEOPLE?! I PAID GOOD MONEY FOR A THIEF (WHO MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE STOLEN ANYTHING OUT OF OUR GARAGE WHILE WE WEREN'T LOOKING, AND THAT IS STILL UP FOR DEBATE THERE) AND A GUY WHO CAN'T MEASURE. Thanks for nothing, Cardinal!

I ordered over $4000 worth of Quartz countertops via Home Depot on October 9th. Cardinal Kitchens, Home Depot's subcontractor, has been a disaster! First, they wouldn't schedule the measuring. Two weeks later, that was finally done. A week later, I had still not heard from Home Depot or Cardinal about an estimated installation date, so I called Cardinal Kitchens.

They said they had just realized they did not know what pattern went where, but I find that hard to believe considering the person measuring was told exactly what pattern went on each section. Today, I finally got a call that they could do the installation on December 6th--despite assurances last week by Home Depot they would be installed by the week after Thanksgiving. In addition to the delays, the representatives with the company are rude if you can even get one on the phone. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

This is the worst place to get a countertop made. They are very unorganized and they don't tell you the truth about your order. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I ordered a countertop and backsplash and it took 3 months to complete the order and 3 trips. The final trip they told me the backsplash was ready and they would bring it to the front desk.

I waited 45 min for them to finally bring it out. The guy made it while I waited. I threatened a refund yet they just lied saying they were looking for it. Heather is supposed to be a manager but I would fire her in a heartbeat. You never treat customers the way she does. Enter at your own risk. Much better in the city. Please don't ever go to this place. EVER!

UNRELIABLE. RUDE. LAZY. As others have said, this company is absolutely impossible to get a hold of. It took 2 weeks(and me calling multiple times with no response) from them to finally schedule an appointment date, only to tell me that the next available appointment was almost 2 weeks away. And to top it off it would be another 4 weeks before my counter was delivered.

This was after I was given a 4 week TOTAL turn around time from the place I purchased from. I was friendly on the phone and got nothing but rudeness from the woman on the line(Sarah). I ended up cancelling my order because I cannot stand to give my business to companies who do not value their customers. I wish Home Depot did not use such an unreliable, rude and lazy company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Impossible to contact, they simply will not answer the phone or return your call. First appointment to measure for countertop was slated for 45 mins, it took 3 hours. Scheduled installation 3 weeks later, called to confirm appointment (arriving between 2:00 & 6:00) took the day off work, no call no show. Still not resolved. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Installed new counter tops but required at least 3 (and counting) subsequent visits to correct minor measuring mistakes over the next several weeks. We take time off work to show up and they walk in and say "Oops, we cut this piece incorrectly again, we'll see you in a few weeks." Then they go back to Louisville and you have to start the scheduling mess over. They say they'll call you for scheduling, but they do not. They are Home Depot's subcontractor. Insist on someone else.

I was very disappointed in the scheduling of my countertop install. The installers were polite and very respectful. The problem is the scheduling. I was told between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. As of 1:30pm. I called the office was told she would check into it. At 1:37 pm. the installers called and said they would be here by 3:00 pm. They were behind. At 3:45 pm. they arrived.

They went right to work. They mentioned they had 2 installs scheduled between 10 and 2. One was in Richmond, Ky. and mine in Lexington. My friend paid $50 for tickets to a dinner, that started a 6 pm.( cocktails ) dinner to start a 7pm. We were unable to attend because the installers were still at my house at 7pm. Basically my friend tore up a fifty dollar bill and threw it in the air.

How does one schedule 2 installs in the same time frame with a least a 30 to 45 minute drive time. Mainly upset that my friend lost $50 due to some ones inexperience. It was also mentioned the one installer worked 80 hours plus the week before. And they still had another install after me. I am very disappointed as I also could of worked till 3 pm.as I work 5minutes from home. In all I lost a whole days pay and my friend lost $50. How would anyone feel? Penny Miller. Lexington, Ky.

Five weeks ago I ordered a $2500 quartz counter and was quoted 4-6 weeks to install. The patternmaker came out to measure a month ago; we paid the $300 overage. Got a call the following week the counter was in. It's been 3 weeks of radio silence; unanswered phone calls, requests from the kitchen designer Lezlie for install date updates go unanswered.

We need to book our demo crew and at this rate it looks like they're more like several months out from order to install. Folks, if you think you're getting it before the holidays, think again. Yikes, another Yelp elite just messaged me to say her quartz counter took 12 weeks -- and got the same erroneous "unpaid overage" response. They are the Home Depot contractor so beware.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. If you order countertops from a big box store, ask them if they contract out to Cardinal Kitchens--if so, DO NOT DO IT. This company is literally the worst I have ever dealt with. We ordered countertops from Home Depot and were told Cardinal Kitchens would be handling it. They came out to our house to take measurements and then have not bothered to answer a single phone call, voicemail, email, or message--my husband's Facebook message to their page was read and then marked as "unread." Their phone just rings incessantly--no voicemail, no answering service, NOTHING. They are completely irresponsible and should be shut down!
