When you consider your remodeling project with ECC, the 1st thing that you'll notice is that we listen. When you decide it is time to remodel your kitchen, renovate your bathroom or totally renovate your master suite your fist step is to find a quality remodeling contractor. You want a contractor who listens to you and asks questions to ensure they understand your project.

The absolute worst! Do not use this contractor! Bruce and his team are rude, disrespectful and dishonest. My in-laws hired them to convert their basement into a 2 bedroom apartment and it was a nightmare from day one. First of all Bruce did not put anything in writing during this first meeting but promised that multiple things (time frame, materials, cost of labor) would be covered (this was also our mistake to not request this).

As the project went on Bruce continued to add on additional (large) cost and then change his mind on what was covered for the project. An example was the framing of the windows. My in laws stated they wanted wood framed windows during the first meeting which Bruce agreed would be no problem (at no extra cost) but when it came time for the windows to be completed he not only said that they were not included in the bid but ended up not finishing then at all (we had to hire a second contractor).

On the ECC website it says: "You want a contractor who listens to you and asks questions to make sure they understand your project. You want a contractor who is responsive, returns phone calls promptly and arrives to appointments on time. You want a contractor who will build your dream on time and at a fair price." ALL of these statements are false. Bruce did not listen or ask questions and actually would avoid phone calls and not return messages for days (while not showing up to that job site).

In one instance when the project was just about complete (though months late) they had forgotten to leave the check off list for the inspector (who took weeks to schedule). The inspector came and went and could not do the final inspection because the contractor check off list was not there. Bruce could not be reached. When Bruce's assistant was called regarding this he actually hung up on us and said he didn't want to deal with it because it was now day off!

I could go on got pages and pages, it was a nightmare! My inlaw's and I know that we could of fired ECC and hired a new contractor but my in laws had already placed a large non-refundable deposit on the project. Do not use this contractor!
