Carmela Wengraitis
President/Designer
Carmela has been in the design industry for over 20 years. After graduating with a BFA in Interior Design, and spending 2 more years preparing for the exams, Carmela went on to achieve her NCIDQ certification. Before turning her focus towards kitchen and bath design, she worked for several commercial firms. While in Philadelphia, she worked for the 3rd largest commercial architectural firm in the nation, specializing in casino design and corporate offices. In DC she worked as Project Manager for the Multi-Family Division of an award winning interior design firm overseeing several multi-million dollar projects.
The secret to her success is - never, ever, ever say “It can’t be done.” There is a solution to every problem, just waiting to be discovered. Carmela and her husband Tony reside in Lunenburg, VA where they enjoy spending time remodeling their old farm house and caring for their 16 dogs, many of whom are available for adoption.

My husband and I renovated our kitchen after 22 years in our house. Carmela started by asking what we wanted to accomplish. We wanted "brighter," and we wanted "newer" (of course). Carmela truly listened. Her plans included an island (which we could never have envisioned) with bead-board cabinets that not only complemented the perimeter cabinets, but were exactly what I wanted.
In addition, Kitchen ETC's cabinet installers knew their stuff - they were professionals who weren't satisfied until the job was done exactly right - and they were fun guys to have around. Great planning by Carmela, and expert installation by her crew. After hearing horror stories about kitchen renovations, ours was a breeze thanks in large part to Carmela and Kitchens ETC.

Our kitchen, which used to be a room that we tried to avoid during parties, is now the centerpiece of the house.
