Building on my background in design, commercial art and advertising, I opened my own design studio in 1999 hoping to Simplify the Process for clients at a time when the details are the most crucial. I have worked with custom cabinet makers, tract home builders and high end cabinetry companies. Through the many elements of designing in these areas, where I gained valuable experience, I also longed for a more personal connection with the homeowner and end user.I recognized there was a niche market that fell in the middle of tract home and ultra deluxe design.
The BEST time to update/remodel is when you decide this is the house you'll be in for the long haul OR. if you are considering selling your home. Put your ideas in a file so we can look at them together and find ways to put them in your space. We will transfer your ideas into virtual perspectives to give you a sneak peek at your new kitchen.
In a matter of a couple of days, your kitchen can be transformed without the fuss of tear out and reinstall to have a fully updated look. To begin, all doors and drawer fronts are removed, the face frame of the cabinet is prepped to receive a wood on wood veneer treatment that adheres to the surface with a 3M bond that will cure to the cabinet frame.
Finding your style is key in creating your new kitchen. Every style has its own personality that will not only express what your kitchen is but who you are as well. Browse through our photos to see what style best suits you! Raised panel with some accent on the picture frame is always the style of a traditional door.

Our experience working with Laura at Southwest Kitchen and Bath was wonderful! We did a full remodel of the kitchen and Laura and SW was with us every step of the way. They made sure everything was done to our satisfaction and were alwasy kind and helpful. We are VERY happy with the quality of the cabinets and love the design. We went with all of their recommendations of the various contractors that were needed to complete the remodel and are really happy with them all. From the tear out to the installation, their team was responsive, on time, professional and did great work. I would highly recommend Laura and Southwest!

I had Matt come to my house and give me his idea about remodeling my kitchen and my bathroom vanities. The appointment went well I thought we had a good plan and he was going to get back in touch with me. We made an appointment but unfortunately my dog came down with valley fever and was very sick and I had to get her to the vet emergently so I had to cancel that appointment.

Ever since then I can't get Matt to call me back I've even gone to the show room and asked to see Matt and ask that Matt give me a call but for whatever reason Matt has chosen not call me.

We used Southwest Kitchen and Bath to upgrade our kitchen. We put in all new cabinets and counters as well as a backsplash. Everyone we dealt with was extremely friendly and responsive. We had our questions answered and were provided accurate estimates and timelines. All of their subcontractors we worked with with extremely professional and easy to work with as well. We love our kitchen and would highly recommend using them to anyone looking to remodel or upgrade their kitchen.

Laura was a pleasure to work with and gave us a lot of good ideas and suggestions that helped us in redesigning our kitchen. We are very pleased with the final look of the cabinets and the kitchen. The installers were very professional and took a lot of pride in their work. Southwest kept us aware of the timelines and any changes that had to be made due to COVID. Overall, we are very pleased and would recommend Southwest Kitchen (and Laura) to anyone considering remodeling their kitchen. Ray and Laura

Southwest Kitchen and Bath refaced/remolded our kitchen this past fall. Matt Yaney our designer was wonderful. When we first met with him in September we asked if our kitchen could be done by Thanksgiving or Christmas and he said most likely by Christmas and it was. He took my ideas and helped to design a great looking kitchen. It was done in stages, we had half of the kitchen refaced and the other half remodeled. Donald their installer also did a great job refacing and installing the new cabinets.

We ran into some major snags with the subs they used and Matt was great listening to us and doing what he could to make things right. Our kitchen is beautiful and I love it except for our counter top over the sink, that didn't turn out how it was supposed to. I would have given them a great rating but due to the issues we had with some of the subs they used I can't.

Learn from our mistakes and make sure your have them use their general contractor. They didn't think our project was big enough to warrant one and admitted after the the fact we should have had one.

Our experience with Southwest Kitchen and Bath in updating our kitchen and two bathrooms could not have been any better. First, our assigned designer was highly professional and expert at his job, producing a formal plan and costing with realistic computer aided illustration of style and colors to help us decide. Subsequent management of our project by Southwest Kitchen and Bath was timely and progressed smoothly.

The final construction work was completed expertly by contractors who were receptive to all minor comments from us as the job progressed. One cupboard door delivered with damage was replaced under warranty without hesitation. On completion, all work areas were thoroughly cleaned.

Okay, so I feel the need to weigh in on this discussion with Jim C. and the owner of SWKB, Mel. First of all, the kitchen is beautiful. Thus, our satisfaction was NOT impossible to attain. The issue here is you, the owner. It is not unreasonable to expect an expensive project ($36K) to be done correctly and any issues fixed. While our contractors are originally from Mexico, they are very experienced, licensed, and the appliance instructions are also provided in Spanish; your design specifications are in numbers, a universal language.

There is no language barrier here, your designers were not present for any of the appliance installs, and any conferring with your designers by our contractors was due to the appliances NOT FITTING within the cabinet. ALL the specifications were given to your designers well in advance to fabrication, to include the oven and stovetop. There is no excuse for the fabricators to have built the appliance cabinets incorrectly.

But it happened in many instances, the worst of which was the oven, the hood, the warming drawer, and the soffit above the refrigerator. The crown molding was also spec'd incorrectly so that had to be re-fabricated. The appliance supplier come out to investigate the cabinet-appliance dimension issues. They circled on the appliance specs the CORRECT dimensions, thus showing that indeed, those fabricated cabinets and panels were WRONG.

I suppose they can't read specs and don't speak English either? We have little issue with your employees (designers and especially the installers) - they were apologetic and very embarrassed by these errors. We were told that our expenses for all the re-work we incurred would be reimbursed. Out of the total $36K bill, the outstanding balance was about $3.2K while we paid almost twice that in re-work due to these issues.

We offered to just call it even, but you rejected it a with defensive and demeaning email. Even your response to this Yelp criticism shows how you treat customers. If this is your attitude towards us, the customer, then we certainly don't blame any of your employees if they would twist the facts so they would not be held accountable, or fired.

The kitchen is now complete and beautiful in large part due to our independent contractors. Thus, having the Registrar of General Contractors visit would be pointless because all the issues have since been fixed, although they may be interested in all of our photos showing the miss-steps and your consequent attitude on the matter. But more importantly, we do not wish you to visit our home now or in the future.

Bottom line: Shame on you for blaming your customers and fellow contractors, especially over an amount that is about 8% of the total cabinet project. All we asked for was an apology and at least meeting us half way due to all the consternation and mishaps we endured.

We contracted SWKB for a high end kitchen cabinet replacement as part of a home remodel. We were referred to them as the vendor for a particular high end cabinet maker. They also coordinated the appliances and the install. We were very disappointed despite spending north of 45K for the experience. The design was incomplete and many of the cabinets were built wrong for the appliances.

We of course only find this out AFTER they are installed and the installer had to hack them apart in place to make them fit. Many things were forgotten (panels) and the instructions to the construction crew on the soffits in the kitchen were wrong not once but twice costing us several thousand dollars extra while SWKB fumbled around with the drawings and design.

The installers were supposed to have it done in 2-3 visits but instead came late/left early and required some 14 visits to complete. It was excruciating to watch and to listen to the mounds of excuses. And to add insult to the injury, we were without a kitchen for four months. The panels on the appliances eventually fell off after they completed the job and we paid to have them fixed after the second fix didn't work.

All tolled we spent an extra 5K to fix their design/quality/install issues. The most surprising thing for us was the owner's attitude towards her customers. When we asked the owner to share this extra cost (which her designer said they would), we got accusations, nastiness, insults on our contractors, implications that it had something to do with their English skills and generally unprofessional behavior.

I would have let this go to court out of principal but frankly they wore me out and life is too short to try to make a bad company do the right thing. If you are the type of person that is happy with any ol' slop job or doesn't expect people to do as they say, these guys are great. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere and have a happier experience.

We recently had our kitchen cabinets refaced by Southwest Kitchen and Bath as the last phase of our total home remodel. We met with designer Maria Jean who made the process of choosing the right design and finishes so easy; she is patient and knowledgeable and a dream to work with! Stacey Kavalec also spent considerable time with me in choosing just the right hardware to complement our new cabinets.

We are so happy with our beautiful new cabinets that I have already recommended Southwest Kitchen and Bath to a neighbor and will continue to recommend them. Without a doubt, Southwest Kitchen and Bath was one of the best companies we have worked with. You and your team delivered excellence Maria! Thanks again for our beautiful kitchen.

Very disapointed with Southwest Kitchen and Bath. We had three companies come out to give up an estimate and 2 out of the three fulfilled what they said they were going to do and that was to leave us with an estimate and schematic. Southwest took a week in simply calling us back to cancel out showroom appointment. Very disappointing experience. Maybe because our kitchen was too small.

Amazing people who are committed to making your remodel a good experience. They went above and beyond for us over and over. I also can compare the value with other big box stores that seem to have comparable quality for less - they don't. Stay with SWKB. You will not be disappointed!

There will not be enough space here to fully describe our great experience with Southwest Kitchen & Bath. One of the best companies we have dealt with for doing home remodeling or upgrading in our 16 years here in Tucson. Maria and Stacey were the two prime contacts for our complete kitchen redesign and upgrade, but all the staff at SW Kitchen & Bath were friendly and helpful whenever we came by with questions or help.

They have a very well organized and professional staff that knows how to guide and schedule a project from beginning to end. Our kitchen remodel went very smoothly and on time and the finished result is "eye-popping"! SW Kitchen & Bath contracted with Darin, owner of Interior Workx. Inc for the cabinet and electrical installations and he did a super job.

They all still help us with wall colors and other good advice, even though their part is done. The new kitchen is beautiful, so a big thanks to Maria, Stacey, Darin & Jeremy and all the friendly staff at SW Kitchen & Bath. Highly recommend this company

For customers looking for a seamless kitchen remodel, you must arrange your remodel or new kitchen/bath with SW Kitchen and Bath! Melissa is the owner and is responsive, credible, personable and willing to make things immediately happen for customers. The design center has ample kitchen designs to see and an impressive selection of tiles, granite and other countertop selections, custom cabinet ideas and anything else one might need to make an informed decision!

In addition, this business works very closely with contractors, plumbers, lighting experts and the like which provides for little or no down time. We were fortunate to meet design consultant Laura during our first visit to SW Kitchen and Bath who exceeded our expectations. Intelligent, with a knack to genuinely hear desires and preferences, Laura coaches and facilitates in a manner which produces a design that is sound, attractive and within budget.

She is truly a gift to her profession. In our nine week major remodel of a kitchen and bath we experienced nothing but professionalism, positive vibes, Laura's constant visits to our worksite and troubleshooting issues to the point where, when complete, we had absolutely no nightmare stories that many experience. For excellence, integrity, credibility and perfectionism, the selection of Southwest Kitchen and Bath as your design team will leave you more than you ecstatic.

Everyone on our neighborhood list serve raves about them, so I called to get a quote. Turns out their specialty is cabinets, and that is the one thing I am not changing. But they immediately referred me to 3 sources who do exactly what I need. Not just give me the names, but the phone numbers and who to talk to. Wonderful local business.

We had a great experience with SW Kitchen and Bath. We loved the design Mel and Matt came up with and all of the extras we would never have thought of such as lighting inside some cabinets. The installation was very professional and the installers were great to work with and went above and beyond in their work. We are 100% satisfied with our new kitchen and my wife and I are constantly telling each other how much we love it.

SW redid our kitchen 8 years ago. Competent designers rep several cabinet lines with connections to local granite and manufactured stone vendors. Professional independent contractors do the install. Off the beaten path a bit, SW is worth considering for a bath or kitchen remodel. Small showroom, but plenty to see. Walk ins welcome M-F and appointments only on Saturday.

My new kitchen looks awesome. Thanks, Maria for the attention to detail in the design - the counters, cabinets, back-splash, flooring and hardware all go great with my appliances and with each other. Donald did a fabulous job installing the cabinets, etc. Always pleasant, on time, and very particular about details and getting it right the first time. I highly recommend this business!

We chose Southwest Kitchen over several other companies we interviewed for our kitchen & 2 bathroom cabinets & we were not disappointed. They worked with us when our sinks were delayed & caused a schedule change. Remodels can be very trying, but they worked with us to make it a painless as possible. We will use Southwest Kitchen for our cabinets in our guest suite.

Design help was limited after contract signed. Overall project management poor. We had problems with stated timelines and received conflicting information.
