Greeted at the door with a smile and eagerness to help you one of the few places left that someone will actually come out from behind the counter to help you locate what you need with the knowledge that what they are recommending is actually what you need.

I have been working with Rick on and off for a few years. He is always very helpful, kind and considerate. He works with our budget. Highly recommend him.

I bought timbertech decking at sticks and stuff In St. Albans. First of all, Pierre was enormously helpful. He was smart and knowledgeable, and helped set me up right. After quoting a few options I price checked it against Lowe's. He beat them pretty resoundingly and had better lead times. They offered to match after they knew they lost it but Lowe's customer service is terrible. Pierre is busy too but he's thorough and always calls back.

He called as soon as it arrived to schedule a delivery, but it was a Friday and his soonest availability was Monday. I wanted to pick it up and install it over the weekend, but didn't have a truck big enough. So listen to this! A guy named Stuart and another named Chris helped me set up a circular saw around back so I can cut the boards to fit in my truck and actually helped me the entire time! For free! This is a class organization and good representation of what it means to be in Vermont. Btw I love the new decking it's beautiful.

Sticks and Stuff has kept running throughout this crazy time, balancing safety with friendly staff. Best hardware shop in town. They don't have everything like Home Depot but short of a 40 minute drive when you really need something oddly specific, this place almost certainly had you covered with a few options to choose between. Strongly recommended. We also got a few carpets installed through their affiliated contractors in addition.

Well I tried to plan out a job but there website is hard to find what you want and they only offer quotes and can't find prices. Unlike home depot you type stud and studs comes up with pricing and size. I have gone there in past but again you can't look for ideas you have to know what you want in order to know prices

We recently decided to do some home improvements including new flooring and painting as well as minor repairs. I had to make several trips to this store to get supplies and have been very happy with each visit. For flooring, they were able to beat the prices of Lowe's, Home Depot and Lumber Liquidators for laminate flooring. Their install team also did a great job of laying linoleum in our two bathrooms.

For paint supplies, during checkout I was purchasing a paint bucket for a ladder. The clerk had us put it back and gave us a plastic coffee can to use at no cost. For various parts and pieces related to small fixes, I had multiple people give excellent advice on the best option for our needs. Very happy with the service here.

They have a good selection but the employees don't explain things very well. My husband and I bought our first home and I was just walking around looking at some things. They didn't explain things very well and used terms that I didn't understand. And when I asked him what they meant he acted like I was an idiot for not knowing. Customer service needs to improve but they still have a good selection of products, especially kitchen cabinets.

I would really like to spend money here, but the customer service is horrendous! They always act like they are doing us a favor by answering questions. The most frustrating part is that my father is a building contractor and when we have gone to Sticks & Stuff to buy supplies, the staff treats him like he's an idiot, and are very rude. We will be traveling to Burlington to give our money to Home Depot or Lowes, because at least they want to help us and make us feel welcome.

The door and window salesman will tell you one lie after another just to get you to buy more expensive products.

Terrible customer service. Went in to buy a new patio door. Was given a bunch of books and told to go home and look at them. So a couple of days later, after looking at the books, I went back and said I didn't really understand the books (no prices, etc). To make a long story short: The first guy stared at me like I was nuts to ask him a question.

The second guy I tried took my info and said he would call me with a quote. After not hear from him after 3 days I called and left a message asking if he had gotten any info for me. 7 days now and still no call back. THIS is not the first time I've tried to buy something here and got treated poorly. And/or they have nothing much in stock. Bottom line, drive 30 minutes and go to Lowes or Home Depot. They are not very good, but way better than this place.
