Founded in 1995 by Jamie Smith and Stefan van Staveren, Xylem Inc. started as a hobby and a necessity for two handy college students. Building furniture to place in our dorms seemed to be the best way to have a place for the TV and stereo equipment. Soon it was coffee and end tables. After bartending for 4 years we learned the ins and outs of building bars and soon started designing and building them for local restaurants. The next logical step was to continue our studies in the kitchen. Designing and building custom kitchen cabinets is now our forte.

Xylem Inc. is a Raleigh, NC based cabinet, millwork and woodworking company specializing in high-end and custom design for homeowners and businesses throughout the Triangle. There are many decisions one has to make when planning a new kitchen. A cabinet is a "box" no matter what size or shape so the design options you choose are what make the cabinet yours.
