Paul & Susan met on the phone - he was a kitchen designer, she worked for a cabinet distributor. They fell in love, married, and settled in Tallahassee, where Paul managed a little cabinet firm named Tallahassee Kitchen Center. In 1980, they took a risk and bought the company - all while raising a family of four.
