Questions
What surfaces can Get A Grip resurface?
We specialize in countertops, bathtubs, showers, tile, and cabinets made from materials including laminate, porcelain, fiberglass, and cultured marble using manufacturer-approved coating systems.
How long does resurfacing last?
With proper care, our resurfacing typically lasts 10-15 years. The proprietary coating system resists normal wear patterns and maintains structural integrity longer than conventional refinishing methods.
Is resurfacing more cost-effective than replacement?
Yes, our process costs approximately one-third of full replacement while maintaining structural integrity. Customers save on material costs, labor, and disposal fees associated with traditional remodeling.
What preparation is required before service?
Customers should remove all items from work surfaces and disconnect appliances within three feet of project areas. Technicians will not handle personal items, requiring clear workspaces for optimal results.
Do you offer warranties?
We provide comprehensive warranties covering flaking, peeling, and cracking from materials or workmanship. Warranties exclude damage from improper care, chemical exposure, or structural issues beyond our control.
How does the curing process work?
Our coating system requires 24 hours to fully cure. During this period, surfaces must remain undisturbed to ensure proper chemical bonding, achieving maximum durability and resistance to daily use.

My husband and I moved into a 1962 home in Denver knowing it needed a lot of TLC that we likely would not be able to afford immediately. My dad (Mark) suggested we consider painting some surfaces as a way to make the house feel more aesthetically pleasing while we save for our major home renovations. With the help of the Lakewood Get A Grip, my dad was able to update our bathroom and parts of our kitchen during a visit from Michigan.

I could not get over the MASSIVE improvement simply painting these spaces made. Every thing feels 100% brighter, which is really helpful when you lack natural lighting. I am so grateful to have these spaces updated.

I just had my bathroom remodeled except for the tub, 2 years ago. Now my tub developed bumps in the bottom. I hired "Get A Grip" to refinish my tub, I am not happy. They left me with dust everywhere, paint on my flooring, rough over spray all over everything ( I was able to clean some of it off), marble sink top is mostly clean, shower doors not properly reinstalled, stainless steel trash can and toilet brush trashed, old color showing through the new color along shower door rails, grab bar not painted on the underside.

To be fair, they did send another worker to do repairs but all he fixed were 2 run spots in the paint. They offered to come out again but were rude and hung up on me. So I don't want them back. It cost $600.00 to do an acrylic tub and walls. DONT HIRE THEM.
