We worked with Chi Renovation to completely transform our dark and dated kitchen, and the result is beyond what we imagined. Even though we didn't add any square footage, the space now feels brighter, lighter, and so much bigger.
Julie was our designer, and from the very beginning, she truly listened to what we wanted while bringing fresh ideas and creative solutions to the table. She helped us think differently about the space and brought our vision to life in a way that feels both beautiful and functional.
Daniel, our project manager, was an excellent communicator--always responsive, organized, and ready with answers to any questions that came up.

Everyone who came through our home, from the electricians and plumbers to the cabinetry and flooring teams, was professional, respectful, and careful to keep things neat each day, which made living through a renovation much easier. Our new kitchen has truly become the heart of our home, and we couldn't be happier. We're so grateful to the entire team and look forward to enjoying this space for many years to come.

I used Chi Renovation to upgrade my primary bathroom. The design process was a big lengthened, especially since I had a clear idea of what I wanted. I was working with a more junior designer, and replies were sometimes delayed. Once we got into build phase, the process ran really smoothly. I worked primarily with Daniel who was coordinating everything, and he was very communicative. Everyone who worked on the project (tiling, plumbing, electrical) was prompt and attentive.

There was a small snag at the end where my heated floors weren't heating. Daniel made sure to get the electrician, tiling professional, and heated floor professional on site to quickly identify the problem and remedy. The whole process from signing contract to completed bathroom was about six months. Longer than I was expecting, but happy to have had Chi Renovation coordinating all the moving pieces.

We used Chi Renovation & Design for our basement remodel (after a pretty bad flood), and am thrilled with how things came out. After we worked through the design aspects, it was time to get started on the build. When it comes down to it, the most important piece from my experience is working with a general contractor that cares, takes ownership of the project, and is fast to rectify issues that inevitably arise when renovating.

I can safely say that Ron, who was the GC that managed our project embodied all of those qualities. I never had to prove to Ron why we may have needed something changed, fixed, or reworked; not only was he often already aware of it, he always took responsibility and got it done. He was always fair. Beyond that ownership, the subcontractors that work with Chi Reno & Design were excellent, especially the drywall and painter folks. Honestly, by far the best paint work that has been done on our house. To that end, the value of the work done was well worth the (reasonable) price. I am thrilled with how it came out, and my kids love playing down there everyday!

I'm out shopping for kitchen cabinets and I decided to come to chi renovations to get my project started. I drove over to the store after work to get something started at 5:00pm just to find out that they closed their store early. They have a small sign on the door that read by appointment only. I believe this is bad for business. They should update their website with the correct hours and or add that hours vary daily to google and the business website. Some kind of business! If it says they close at 6 they should leave at 6

We worked with Ariana on design and Gene as our project manager to redo our master bath. Every step of the process was great! We were impressed with the design, and especially impressed with the ease of communications with Gene. It took longer than expected because of supply chain issues, but Chi Renovation kept us updated and worked with our schedule. I would definitely recommend them and use them again!

The team fully remodeled my primary and guest bathrooms and completed some other lighting, fireplace, and flooring work in the main living area of my condo. High degree of professionalism from start to finish with everyone I worked with - in particular Ariana on design and Gene leading the construction. Thanks to the design work my spaces not only look much better but are more functional as well.

The only challenge was the long lead time on materials which caused a long wait between design and construction phases but that was outside of the team's control and was ultimately worth the wait. I'd definitely recommend.

Out of all the places I reached out, Chi Renovation reached back out to me the quickest and had great communication. Although I did not ultimately end up using them, I received very great and timely service from Dorian when I called them. Would definitely recommend to others looking to do a full bathroom remodel.

Gene, Lior, and their team were amazing! We had multiple contractors ghost us for structural work in our basement (replacement of wooden beam and posts with steel). The team did EVERYTHING for us - from the architectural drawings, to Chicago city permits, to the work. Their estimate was exactly what we paid, and their timeline was correct. The thing that stood out the most was their responsiveness. We asked a lot of questions and Lior and Gene always responded right away with clear answers to all of our questions. I have and will continue to recommend Chi Renovation and Design!

We finally got the gaping hole patched that Ron Lifshitz and Chi Renovation left by our master bathroom vanity. This was supposed to be an 'access panel' to our steam shower motor but it extended way below the top of the vanity. No planning or measuring as per usual for Chi Renovation. The contractor we hired to do the work correctly, had to remove wall baseboards, disconnect vanity plumbing and slide the master bath double sink vanity out to patch the 4 foot by 2 foot hole they left.

Just egregious negligence from this company. The inch of caulk above the crown molding in our kitchen from their uneven dry wall work is already separating. Please go elsewhere if you want any work done even mediocre.

My wife and I were looking for a bathroom remodel from a jacuzzi tub that took up 3/4s of our main bathroom, to a walk in shower. We wanted something done with a reasonable budget, professionally, and timely. Chi Renovation was our solution. Toufic helped us find the perfect design and worked with us every step of the way, making life easier for two working professionals on the go. Gene ran the operation professionally, walked me through any questions I had, addressed all my concerns, and ran a top notch team throughout the process.

He hit the budget and the time frame that was promised as well as making sure the project was built on solid foundations. I cannot recommend the company, Toufic, or Gene highly enough. This is a great company who works with very amazing people. No issues and would definitely call them when we need another project completed.

I am giving a review strictly on their customer service since my home was not in their service area. They responded within 24 hours to my inquiry on home design for basement. Dorian was kind and super helpful by finding me alternate home design companies that serviced my area. If their customer service is indicator on how their actual home design service is, then you are in good hands.

After living in our Uptown condo for 5 years, and being forced to stare at the same construction grade finishes in our bathrooms during this pandemic, my husband and I decided we needed an upgrade. We did extensive research and after several quotes from a variety of firms, Chi was the winner. Julie and Gene were dreams to work with. All we knew going into it was that we wanted a spa like but masculine bathroom, but the designs Julie created for us were beyond anything we had ever imagined.

This was one of the main reasons we went with an all-in-one firm. While our design aesthetic is good, we really wanted something that made visitors know that a professional was involved. Julie and Gene listened to all of our requests, helped us trim costs where possible, and also helped us push ourselves out of our comfort zone. The results were better than we could ever have hoped. Not to mention the quality of the work, Marek's attention to detail was spectacular. Ever finish was perfectly placed down to the smallest tile and run of trim. Can't wait to work with Chi Reno for our next project!

We loved working with chi Renovation! The design process was easy and working with Ron on the project was great. He was kind, responsive and went above and beyond to make sure the project went smoothly for us. We are planning on redoing our bathrooms next and will definitely be using them again. Service: Remodeling

I am a new resident to the area and wanted to do some minor work on our place. Had the pleasure of speaking to Dorian who explained that they specialize if full demo/remodel and design and I might be more interested in a more general handy man. He then proceed to send me a list of recommendations that I should use and that I might find helpful! Even though I did not use them now, I appreciate him taking that extra step to make sure I still got the help I needed! Till my next remodel Chi Renovation!

CHI Renovation made sure our project was well managed, on time, and executed with attention to detail. I cannot imagine taking on a project of this magnitude without their expertise and project management. Ron, our project manager, oversaw every detail and sub and material shipment.the list goes on. We are so pleased with our new kitchen and first floor - it was a total transformation. Highly recommend!

Tom Tishby who was the Project Manager and led the crew of the Chi Renovation and Design on our project involving complete remodel of our kitchen and the powder room have done an outstanding job. Our kitchen remodel project involved removal of the wall to open up the galley kitchen, this required rerouting of the water pipes and installing new plumbing and wiring system. The crew worked efficiently they were very professional and neat while we were living in the apartment during the construction.

The products of their work were outstanding in quality and precision. They met all the deadlines and provided courteous service. Communication was excellent throughout the project. Another important factors is that the crew and Tom Tishby in particular worked really well with our building engineer and manager making sure all the paperwork was an order the use of the service elevator and disposal was done according to building policies. Overall I'm very pleased with Tom Tishby and Chi Renovation and Design and would to continue working with them again on our future remodeling projects.

They are timely, considerate, satisfactory professional. They are very connected with all the retail outlets around town that helped us pick out our quality fixtures and tiles.

I called Chi Renovation today about a potential kitchen remodel. I spoke with Anna who I never would have guessed was new! She was super informative about the whole process and handled herself professionally. Unfortunately, the services were out of my price range, but Anna sent over some great referrals that I am reaching out to now! Very refreshing to be offered help even though I wasn't going to work with them.

Just completed a kitchen remodel with Chi Renovation and am very pleased with the results. The team was friendly, professional and worked hard to keep communication and schedules flowing throughout the pandemic. Mishneeta was calm, gracious and flexible, willing to work with my design ideas. Eric coordinated the construction team well and was skilled in assessing issues before I noticed them. He was always upbeat, respectful, understanding and ever-available (texts throughout the weekends and at night).

He arranged for refunds on extra material and went above and beyond to ensure that loose ends were tied up to my complete satisfaction. He made what can be an arduous process very positive. Thumbs up to Chi Renovation!

Tom Tishbey was my PM and he went above and beyond for me helping me navigate through my insurance claim. I was out of town and he helped me by sending pictures and videos. His perspective and ideas were always accurate. He personally oversees your project and quickly fixes things and has solutions. He takes great pride in his work and it shows! My only hope is that CHI will one day have itemized bills that make it easier for consumers to see what they are paying for. I would use Tom again and again!

I wanted to share my experience working with Chi Renovations. The process was extremely easy and I am completely thrilled with the final product! I worked with Tania to design a fireplace that would fit a tight space. We have a hidden door closet we needed to be mindful of, so she shared a few general designs with me. She then created a custom fireplace surround to fit the space and my design ideas perfectly. Eric, the project manager, was also wonderful to work with - always responded in a timely manner and was eager to resolve any issues. Eric also made some great design suggestions that we did end up implementing into the fireplace surround.

The work was completed in a timely manner and workers were careful to clean the space throughout the process. I did have them come back to do a few little touchups that were missed but they quickly resolved any concerns I had. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the end results!

Dorian took my call when I was inquiring about what types of services our project needed. He took the time to understand our needs and advised us accordingly. His willingness to help and candor were great. Even though we didn't go with them, since we likely just need a general contractor, we would definitely give them a call again for future needs.

I'm not in the service area, but Dorian was very sweet about helping me find someone to do my laundry room renovation job. I live in an underserved neighborhood of Chicago. South Shore, 60649, 7th and 5th Wards. An area struggling to bootstrap itself out of a food desert among other scarcities. I can see signs that it is finally turning around, but it's a slow climb.

Just finished renovating my guest bathroom with Chi Renovation and had a great experience. I worked with Tanya (designer) and Eric (project manager) and both were great. We had some hiccups due to COVID-related delays and I appreciated that both of them stayed on top of it. What I liked most was that when the one or two minor things went wrong Eric made it right before I could even mention it. One reason I chose them is that they have experience working in high-rise buildings and this is important as there are restrictions on noise, work hours, elevators, etc and they were well aware of all of this and worked within the parameters so that I had no complaints from my building or my neighbors. Would definitely use them again.

I rated Chi Renovation 5 stars because of their quality services, especially for their project Manager Eric. Our project include redo bathroom, kitchen, floors, ceilings and painting. Eric is on top of things and he is very professional and responsible. Even three months after completion of our project, we had some issues for a light bulb and bathroom drain cover due to the quality of the product. Eric and his team showed up and resolve everything. This team is the one you can trust and depend on. Dorian is also very helpful. He is very nice and patient to make sure we are satisfied with everything. 5 stars indeed.

Dorian was a big help with advice on project scope and options for multiple renovation projects I've been considering. The phone consultation was easy and informative. I haven't selected a contractor yet, but I'd definitely recommend reaching out to Chi Renovation and Design if you're trying to narrow down options in your area.

I originally found this company on Yelp and reached out based on their great reviews. I worked with Dorian who was responsive (which is hard to come by in this industry) and extremely helpful! We didn't end up working with Chi Reno & Design because it didn't make sense for our small project, but Dorian was quick to recommend a few other companies that he thought would be a good match. As someone who is navigating house projects without a contractor and working with one unresponsive company after another, it was refreshing to work with someone that actually follows up!

We did a major kitchen renovation with Chi Renovation and couldn't be happier with the results. It was awesome to have all the support in one place - designer, project manager, etc. They really helped us stay on track and managed every aspect of the construction process, which was amazing as busy working parents. We appreciated their attention to detail, especially Ron, our project manager. Unexpected challenges always come up, especially in an older house like ours, and we were always able to work out a solution together. We absolutely love our space and it has changed how we live in our house. Highly recommend!

We worked with CHI Renovations on a gut kitchen remodel that was really complicated, to say the least. We relocated the HVAC system, did extensive electrical work, reconfigured the space completely, and much more. We had many challenges with our project, from an old house, to a hard deadline with a new baby arriving, and doing some of the design remotely - because of this, we are SO glad we went with CHI Renovations. Ron was our project manager and his experience ensured our project was overseen with the utmost care and an eye to detail. Ron really is a seasoned professional who oversaw every step of construction and I truly cannot imagine taking on a project of this magnitude without him. We could not be happier with our new kitchen and the way it has transformed our house. I have recommended CHI Renovations to several friends and will continue to do so!

I left a voicemail in the morning and got a call back before it struck noon. I spoke with Dorian who was very helpful, nice, conversational and knew his stuff. They do more full renovations while I just need some tile laid, but he gave me a ball park number and still offered to come out and look at it. Highly recommend starting your search with Chi Renovation & Design.

I have not used Chi Renovation's services but only because their services just didn't make sense for the small size of my project. However, Dorian was extremely helpful along the way and ultimately, he provided me with a number of names/contacts for contractors who have good reputations and would be able to service my project. That extra mile was appreciated - thanks!

Spoke with Dorian about my project and quickly determined it wasn't a job for them based on the scope of work, but he offered to send me referrals that would be a better fit and sent them to me promptly. He was very pleasant and professional throughout our call. If I have a more suitable project in the future I will definitely reach back out!

We did a fairly major project with Chi Reno recently. Kitchen gut, railings, powder room, fireplace and TV nook. We were really pleased with all aspects of the project from design with Mishneeta to execution with Eric. Mishneeta was helpful and thoughtful in the design process. Understanding our asthetic first and then suggesting options to help us zoom in on final choices. Never pressuring but always ready to help guide us when needed.

A really pleasant person to work with, as well. As we moved into construction/execution, Eric become our best ally. As anyone in construction knows, there are always adjustments/changes that have to be made to original plans. Or simply unexpected challenges that might pop up. ie....wait..there's a STACK running in that part of the wall that we want to move??? As project manger, Eric was ready to suggest options and solutions and always kept a steady hand on the progress, keeping us well informed of the next steps. Additionally, Eric was always bringing a critical eye to the work being done and ensuring the crew course corrected as needed. Bottom line is we are happy with all aspects of the project and would definitely recommend Chi Reno.

This was our first renovation and to say we were nervous after hearing stories from family and friends is an understatement. Our master bath was the original bath from 1956 and it showed. Lien our designer could sense our apprehension and walked us through every step of the consultation and design process and helped ease our anxiety. Ron, the PM and our contractor were very communicative and kept us informed of every step of the process.

The finished product is beyond our expectations. We now have a modern bathroom that is stylish, efficient and a sanctuary. We'll definitely use Chi Renovation and Design again for our next project.

I want to preface this by saying I did not use them for my kitchen remodel, but only because their specialty is gut rehabs and I'm just looking for a minor facelift. But their level of professionalism and service makes me wish I was doing more! Dorian responded to my inquiry almost immediately and when he realized that they weren't the best fit for me he went out of his way to email me names of other companies who would be better suited to my needs. I can only imagine the kind of service they give to their clients. Thanks, Dorian!

My wife and I hired Chi Renovation to renovate our kitchen and we could not recommend them highly enough. We were expecting a baby and were on a tighter time frame to complete our kitchen project before our son was born. We interviewed a few different companies and Chi Renovation was the one that listened to our concerns and said they could complete the project within our timeline. In fact the other companies said they would have trouble completing everything by the end of October when Chi Renovation said they could by the mid-September (and they delivered).

Every step of the way they continued to listen to our thoughts. Our project manager Ron discussed every step along the way and provided reasons why they were doing what they were doing, which gave my wife and I a lot of piece of mind. Also the contractors that came in were amazing. Extremely courteous, and we were shocked at how fast they were able to complete everything with the highest quality job.

We cannot recommend Chi Renovation enough and have already done so to all of our neighbors and friends. Just wanted to get the word out further about a contracting company that is truthful and sticks to their promises!

The Chi Renovation team was fantastic! The designer (Ryan), the project manager (Eric) and the installer (Derek) - all of them were very responsive, helpful, brought options and ideas for different parts of the projects and did an amazing job in a short time. They even managed to squeeze us in within a tight timeline and finished everything 2 days before the deadline. We LOVE our basement bathroom, as do all our guests! Would highly recommend and will definitely call them again for other bathroom projects in our house!

From the moment we called Chi Renovation was very professional and accommodating. Lior was our project manager and he worked with us and provided us with many great suggestions as far as where to find finished product and giving us input on design ideas. The crew assigned to our project was first rate. Clean, friendly and always consulting us when there was a question and never getting upset with our many questions and mid project changes.

The tile work was perfect! They were a delight and would request them again when we do our other bathrooms. Our only issue was with the installer of our Glass shower door. He was the very last item to finish and he was rather careless and indifferent as to where he was putting his tools and managed to scratch our new sink counter top quite a bit. I mentioned/showed it to Lior and he stated it was unacceptable. in the future I would request another installer for any shower doors we have installed. The end result exceeded our wildest expectations. We look forward to working with Chi Renovation and Design again in the very near future.
