Working with Joel and his team has been an absolute delight. As a homeowner and architectural designer, I have extremely high standards which Joel has not only met, but has exceeded with ease and grace. He is now more than just someone I will recommend to all of my friends and clients, he is truly someone I can trust as a partner and expert in the field. Thank you, and here's to many more!

Joel and his crew are by far the best contractors in Los Angeles. They are able to get our jobs done quickly, efficiently, and most importantly, correctly. Joel has become our go-to contractor for all our home improvements. In addition to facilitating the skilled work, he and his crew diligently clean up the job site when done, and they leave you with a finished product you can be proud of.

The renovation work seems to be a tough task. Yes, it is unless you got the help of a professional. I have received help in renovating my new house from Joel. He is the owner of Joel & Co. Construction remodeling company. For a while, I was searching for a reliable and reputed company. While discussing with one of my cousins I came to know about them. My cousin has undergone a kitchen makeover by their company.
He recommends him to me and now I can happily recommend Joel to others. I loved his process of executing the project of bathroom renovation. My bathroom was having insufficient space. I discussed the idea with him and the result was just fantastic. His co-workers are equally appreciable because of their contribution the work got completed on time. I am planning to go for room addition as well and surely am going to hire this company again.

I was completely clueless about how I can change the way my house look. I only knew that I want to remodel my house completely. After talking to my friends and searching internet, I contacted Joel & Co. Construction. The first interaction was so balanced and impressive that I decided to hire them. Joel is a nice guy and he understands well what his clients want from him. He is very particular. The work was well-organized and I hardly had to interfere. After the end of the project, my house was completely a new one. My family, my friends everyone was so happy and so was I. I couldn't ask more than this.

Joel & Co. construction remodeled our guest bedroom and bathroom; about 600 sq. ft. Remodeling projects are stressful! Joel was able to answer all our questions quickly with honesty. We were happy with the job and would recommend them to friends and family. There were outcomes on the project that didn't go as we expected but Joel was very accommodating and redo the work without problem. He's very accessible through the projects and flexible with scheduling. Overall, the crew did a great job remodeling the room and bathroom. Joel will cater to all your needs to make sure you're a satisfied customer.

I was very much worried about thinking whom to hire as the contractor as I was planning for some great kitchen remodeling along with proper bath renovation. After meeting Joel, the owner of Joel & Co. Construction I was pretty sure that he has some promising ideas to provide our kitchen and bathroom. My bathroom has become larger and more functional and the beautiful designs adding more features to the spaces.
After hiring them it took approximately 3 weeks to finish the kitchen remodeling project and the outcome was so good that I don't regret of hiring him for this job. Now I have a master bathroom and a fine and clean kitchen and the credit goes to this company.

When we finally decided to build a second story room addition we spoke with too many architects and contractors. Once we met with Joel, we didn't need to meet anyone else. He is so thorough, honest, and easy to work with. I've never met anyone who takes so much time to really get things right, maximize our space and budget, and translate the stipulations imposed by the City that would be otherwise huge barrier to our project.
We are so grateful not only that we found Joel and his construction company, but also that they have the availability for our project at the right time. We are so excited to continue to work with them, and I will continue to sing their praises to anyone considering a room addition, bathroom remodel, kitchen remodel, or a full custom home remodel. Joel & Co. Construction is the best contractor in LA!

My wife and I recently chose Joel and Company to help us remodel our home in West Hollywood. We had heard lots of horror stories about contractors so we talked with several companies, but selected Joel because we felt very comfortable with him from the start. He was within our budget, and had no problem modifying our plan and designs several times when we changed our minds or found something we wanted was too expensive.
He was always very open and upfront about change orders and always keeps us in the loop during the construction. When construction started in December, Joel had crews in the house working every single day. They worked tirelessly 6 days a week and finished the project early. In the end, our home remodeling project come out exactly how we envisioned. We are so happy, not only with our new house, but also with how easy the whole remodeling process was. We would recommend Joel & Co. Construction to anyone one in need of a great construction company. Los Angeles best general contractor!

I cannot say enough good things about Joel Portillo and his crew of craftsmen. I had a very old kitchen that was in serious need of a complete gut and overhaul. I called and made an appointment with Joel and he showed up exactly when he said he would, took the time to listen to what I needed done, and provided me with a very competitive and detailed estimate. Once the kitchen remodel construction started they made sure I knew what was going on each day. Joel was personally doing work himself a long side his construction crew.
He walked us through every part of the process and was always available for questions. We felt like he and his team really did care and wanted to do their best work. After they were all finished we noticed something that we wanted adjusted and he immediately scheduled his painters to come back in order to be sure it was exactly as we wanted. We will be using Joel & Co. Construction in the future. Thank you to Joel and his team, we truly love the outcome.
